Poaching eggs is a very interesting way to prepare eggs. First, there is the aesthetic side, which is more original and surprising and, secondly, there is nutritional side because they have a lower caloric intake than if we make them fried for example.
The poached eggs are cooked wrapped in plastic wrap, immersing them in water in the basket or steam in the Varoma. Here I explain how to tho them step-by- step so that you can make them very easily at home.
- 2 eggs
- A pinch of oil
- 1 litre of water
- Plastic wrap
- First, pour the water in the mixing bowl and set 8 minutes, temperature varoma, speed spoon.
- While the water is heating, we prepare the eggs.
- Cut a square of plastic wrap and pour a trickle of oil.
- Extend the oil well with a brush, with your fingers or with a spoon.
- Place the square of film on the measuring cup and stick it to the walls by pressing it with your
- fingers
- Very carefully, pour the egg inside and sprinkle a pinch of salt.
- Wrap the egg with the plastic wrap and tie. The egg should not be too loose inside the film so that
- we obtain a beautiful and round shape.
- Now, to cook the eggs you have two options:
- Put the basket in the mixing bowl and carefully introduce the wrapped eggs.
- Put the wrapped eggs in the Varoma and then place it with its lid on the mixing bowl.
- In both cases, program 5 minutes, temperature Varoma, speed 2.
- Afterwards, carefully remove the packets and let them cool for a couple of minutes. With a pair of scissors, cut the plastic wrap right where we knotted it and the egg will slide easily thanks to the oil
- we put at the beginning.
